See our 4 days in Paris itinerary. Plan your time and enjoy every moment in this incredible city full of fantastic attractions. You’re sure to have an unforgettable time there.

First day in Paris

To start your first day in Paris, our tip is to take a stroll around the Place de la Concorde, walk through the Jardin des Tuileries, along the Champs-Élysées, past the Arc de Triomphe and on to the Ile de la Cité.

This small island in the River Seine is home to two of the main tourist attractions, one next to the other, which are Notre Dame Cathedral and the Sainte Chapelle. After so many things to do, you can stop for lunch at one of the many restaurants near Notre Dame Cathedral.

In the afternoon, you can visit the Luxembourg Gardens, as well as the Rodin Museum and end the day by visiting the Eiffel Tower. Stay there until nightfall and photograph the view of the illuminated tower, which is beautiful. Not to mention the opportunity to enjoy the sunset from up there.

Second day in Paris

Take advantage of your second day in the City of Light to wander around the museums, such as the Musée D’Orsays, which has paintings by Van Gogh, Monet and Manet.

And in the afternoon, take some time to visit the Louvre Museum. Be prepared to spend a long time there, as the Louvre is the largest museum in Paris, France and Europe. Spend the whole afternoon there, appreciating its works and rooms with priceless pieces and historical artifacts.

Third day in Paris

Set aside your third day in Paris to visit the incredible Palace of Versailles. Following our itinerary, on the first day you will have already visited most of the sights, so we recommend dedicating the whole day to the palace, as it is immense and has many rooms to explore.

This is a royal castle, also considered one of the largest in the world. However, it is not located in Paris, but in the neighboring city of Versailles. Access, however, is quick and very easy.

The Palace of Versailles symbolizes the Absolutist Monarchy in France, centred on King Louis XIV. The building itself is full of detail and very rich, but don’t forget to take a stroll through the palace garden, which is one of the largest gardens in the world. Also take the opportunity to explore the beautiful Versailles region.

Fourth day in Paris

On your last day in Paris, go to the Sacré Coeur, the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, located on Rue du Chevalier de la Barre. The building, despite having a huge staircase, has a breathtaking view that will give you incredible photos of your tour.

To pick up some souvenirs from your trip to the French capital, stop by Galeries Lafayette to do some shopping. It has plenty of products to choose from, although not all of them are cheap. Even so, it’s worth checking out for its accessibility, as many metro lines reach it.

Finally, to round off your trip in the best French style, visit the Moulin Rouge, located in the bohemian Montmartre district.
