First day in Atlanta
Start your trip with a visit to Centennial Olympic Park. This outdoor space, originally built for the 1996 Olympic Games, offers a peaceful setting for a morning stroll. Next, head to the World of Coca-Cola, an interactive museum where you can explore the history of this world-famous brand and even taste different Coca-Cola flavors from around the world.
After lunch, explore the Georgia Aquarium, one of the largest aquariums in the world. Second day in Atlanta
Start your second day at the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park. This historic site is dedicated to the life and legacy of Dr. King, and you can visit his childhood home, Ebenezer Baptist Church, where he preached, and his final resting place.
This tour is an opportunity to connect with the history and ideals that shaped the United States. Take time for a quiet reflection in Freedom Hall, a tribute to the struggle for civil rights.
In the afternoon, explore the Midtown neighborhood, where you can visit the High Museum of Art, known for its impressive architecture and vast collection of modern and classical art, offering a rich cultural experience.
Afterwards, stroll through Piedmont Park, Atlanta’s largest park, which stretches over almost 200 acres. There, you can have a picnic, rent a bike or simply relax in the shade of a tree while enjoying the view of the city.
For the evening, visit the Fox Theatre. The historic theater offers a variety of shows, from Broadway musicals to concerts by major artists. But if you can’t get tickets, take the opportunity to dine at one of the many restaurants nearby.
Third day in Atlanta
On your third day, head to the Atlanta Botanical Garden, located next to Piedmont Park. The botanical garden is an outdoor collection of plants, flowers and works of art. Walk the trails, visit the tropical greenhouse and don’t miss the famous orchid exhibition. This is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the city.
In the afternoon, head to the Buckhead district, known as Atlanta’s luxury shopping center. Visit Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza, two of the city’s landmark malls, where you can find designer brands and exclusive boutiques.
Even if you’re not interested in shopping, the atmosphere and dining options make it worth a visit. For a cultural touch, consider visiting the Atlanta History Center, also located in Buckhead, where you can explore the history of the region through interactive exhibits and guided tours.
After a day of shopping and culture, enjoy one of Buckhead’s bars. The area is known for its nightlife, with options ranging from craft cocktails in hotel bars to rooftops with incredible views. And for dinner, choose one of the area’s renowned restaurants or opt for something more casual, but just as good, at one of the many local bistros.
Fourth day in Atlanta
On your last day in Atlanta, start with a visit to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the home of the NFL’s Falcons and MLS’s Atlanta United FC. If there’s a game on, don’t miss the chance to watch it live, but if it’s not in season, you can take a guided tour of the stadium, which includes a behind-the-scenes visit and the impressive retractable roof structure.
In the afternoon, visit the Atlanta BeltLine, one of the city’s best-known urban projects. This trail connects several neighborhoods and offers a good opportunity to walk, cycle or just see the many murals and works of art along the way.
Take a break for a snack at one of the many cafés and food trucks you’ll find along the way.
End your trip with dinner in the Inman Park neighborhood, known for its Victorian architecture and award-winning restaurants. Take a stroll through the tree-lined streets and choose a restaurant that suits your palate, a tip is Kevin Rathbun Steak, which is open from 5pm to 9pm.
