Check out this 2 days in Paris itinerary and find out everything you can do during this period in this city full of attractions in France.
First day in Paris
Our tip for your first day, in this article on the 2 days in Paris itinerary, is to get up early to make the most of everything. And there’s nothing better than getting to know the city by starting with a visit to the Eiffel Tower, the city’s postcard.
However, remember to buy the tickets in advance to save time in the queue. Once you’ve done that, you can enjoy the Eiffel Tower from below or visit it from the top. You can also take lots of photos.
Afterwards, you can walk along the River Seine towards the famous Arc de Triomphe, which is very important to the country’s history. From there, you will follow the Champs-Elysées Avenue, which, as well as being beautiful, has ancient architecture and many stores, making it an unmissable tourist spot in Paris.
Then, walk straight until you reach the iconic Louvre Museum and stroll through the square where its entrance is located, in the glass pyramid. However, due to time constraints, you may not be able to visit the Louvre in its entirety – so consider whether or not it’s worth it, depending on your preferences.
Once you’ve passed the Louvre, you can cross the famous Pont des Arts, Paris’s padlocked bridge over the River Seine. Then go on to see the beautiful and historic Notre Dame Cathedral, an icon of Paris, and end the day by visiting the magnificent Luxembourg Gardens, which are full of plants and flowers.
Second day in Paris
As you’ve already seen a good number of Paris’s sights on the first day, your second day can have a different route, don’t you think?
In Paris, you’ll find numerous must-see museums, such as the Orsays, the Georges Pompidou Center and the Louvre itself. So set aside your morning to visit one of them. Then, visit the Le Marais district, which is close to the Georges Pompidou.
You can even have lunch there, as the neighborhood has many sensational and highly recommended restaurants. After this tour, don’t miss the Opera Garnier, another symbol of the city, or the Sacré Coeur Basilica, which offers a beautiful view and great photographs.
To end this 2 days in Paris itinerary in a good Parisian style, consider going to a show at the Moulin Rouge, one of the city’s main landmarks.
