Find out all about the 2 Disney parks in California and plan your trip to these fun tourist spots on the west coast.
Disney in California:
The “official” Disney, as many already know, is in Orlando, Florida. However, there are some branches of Mickey’s parks in places like Paris and California – on the opposite side of the United States from Orlando.
California has two Disney parks, both super interesting, which we’ll talk about below:
Disneyland Park in California
Disneyland is a park created in 1955 by Walt Disney himself, who wanted to create a magical and fun world for families. The result was a success, and to this day the park is one of the most visited in the USA. It reproduces scenes from films such as Star Wars and has some absolutely incredible attractions:
- The original Sleeping Beauty Castle
- The Matterhorn Bobsleds rollercoaster
- The Indiana Jones Adventure simulator
- The Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge simulator (and themed area)
In our opinion, it’s a must-see and a lot of fun.
- Important tip: California is a state that has many tourist cities, with museums, attractions and tours. So, regardless of where you go there, always buy the tickets in advance. We buy everything on this website that has the best price.
Disney California Adventure Park
Created many years later, in 2001, Disney California Adventure Park in California is also a very interesting – and technological – park that usually appeals to adults and children alike. It is right opposite the Disneyland park and has famous attractions such as:
- The California Screamin’ roller coaster
- The racing attraction Radiator Springs Racers, from “Cars”
- The Grizzly River Run raft ride
- The Toy Story themed area with its own roller coaster
Downtown Disney District
It’s worth remembering that Disney California still has a downtown area open to the public, with lots of quirky stores, themed hotels and wonderful restaurants. It is located in the middle of the two parks and is called the Downtown Disney District.
