What are the districts and regions of Paris?
The city of Paris is divided into 20 main districts (arrondissements), which are distributed in a snail shape. If you look at the city map, you’ll notice that each one is numbered. This numbering depends on how close you are to the center, the further away, the higher the number.

The Louvre Museum area: the 1st arrondissement, as seen above, is the best place where to stay in Paris, as it is located in the heart of the city and is surrounded by incredible tourist attractions.

Le Marais area: dividing the 3rd and 4th arrondissements of Paris is Le Marais, which is home to beautiful historic buildings that have earned the area the title of UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The area is located between the Georges Pompidou Center and the Place de la Bastille. In the past, it was home to the Parisian aristocracy and today it is a bohemian district with numerous leisure options, such as art galleries, hotels, restaurants, designer stores, bars and cafés.
