Figure out where to stay in Verona. In this article, we’ll show you the main areas and neighborhoods of the city. And, as a bonus, we’ll give you some tips on how you can find incredible hotels there.
The best area to stay in Verona: Città Antica
Without a doubt, the best place to stay in Verona is the historic city center. Also known as Città Antica, the center is home to everything you’ll need on your trip: tourist attractions, cafés, restaurants, stores and much more.
Another important detail is that in the center you can find various types of accommodation, from hostels and guesthouses to hotels. However, it’s worth remembering that prices in this area are always higher. That’s why checking out other accommodation in nearby areas can be a great alternative.
If you want to find out more about the area and which hotels are located there, just click here and a map will open showing all the hotels in the center of Florence. We’ve already done the work for you and put in a filter that will only show hotels with a rating of 8 or above, which will guarantee you a great stay.
Once you’ve done that, just fill in the fields with the date of your trip and check the prices to choose an option. If you stay within the orange line on the map below, you won’t go wrong.
Other neighborhoods to stay in Verona
Leaving the historic center of Verona, there are other neighborhoods around that are great and will make for good accommodation. Located between 1km and 5km away, these places are also cheaper. Check out our list of the best options below:
San Zeno district: located 1.8 km from the historic center, here you’ll find the beautiful Basilica of San Zeno Maggiore, the place where Romeo and Juliet’s wedding took place. You won’t find hotels there, but apartments and rooms starting from R$470 a night.
Borgo Trento neighborhood: this option is a little closer to Città Antica: 1 km away. There, you’ll be close to the famous Ponte Scaligero and Ponte della Vittoria, as well as restaurants, markets and cafés.
Porta Nuova station area: as this area is a little further from the city center, it offers cheaper accommodation options. It’s worth remembering that although you’ll save on accommodation, you’ll need to spend a bit more on transportation to get to the sights in Città Antica.
Top tip for finding good hotels at incredible prices in Verona
To find the best hotels in the best areas of the city, our tip is to use this Verona Hotel Finder. We always use it because it’s the largest hotel booking site in the world, super reliable and safe. Plus, it has the opinions of tourists who have already stayed in the hotels, which helps a lot when evaluating each one.
When making your purchase, after a search, the tip is to filter by “Neighborhood” (to select the regions you are looking for), and by “Guest reviews”, putting “Very good upwards”. In addition, this search engine offers free cancellation for most hotels.
The tip is to check, in the search, the hotels that have “Free cancellation” written on them. That way, you can book your hotel on the spot to guarantee the price (since they change from one day to the next, and the best hotels sell out quickly), and if you later find a better one, or don’t want to stay there, just cancel.
