Find out all about our 3 days in London itinerary. The English capital has many incredible attractions for you to enjoy on your trip.

First day in London

To start your first day in the city, head to the Westminster area, which is one of the oldest in London. There you’ll find several of London’s iconic sights, such as St. James’s Park, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and the English Parliament.

Another great tip is that, as it’s an area frequented by tourists, you’ll find many restaurants, from the most exquisite to the famous fast food joints like McDonalds. In other words, you can take a break and have lunch.

Once that’s done, our next walk takes us along the River Thames towards the London Eye, London’s famous Ferris wheel, one of the city’s postcards. A ride on this Ferris wheel takes around 30 minutes and the view of the city from the top is simply incredible. It’s worth noting that the cabins can hold up to 25 people. And don’t forget to take lots of photos as souvenirs.

And, if you still have time, how about a visit to the British Museum? This incredible museum holds one of the most important collections on the planet, with more than 7 million objects dating from Ancient Egypt to Renaissance art. To round off the evening, you could go clubbing in the city or enjoy a delicious local restaurant.

Important tip: To make the most of your trip is to stay in the best region. If you want, see our article here that explains the best area, hotels and how to save a lot on accommodation.

Second day in London

On this second day in London, you can stop by the London Tower, one of the city’s greatest symbols and home to a wide variety of relics, such as the British Crown Jewels. Once there, you can head to London Bridge, which is beautiful. It is undoubtedly one of those tourist attractions where taking a camera is essential.

Once there, you can visit the Shard, which is the tallest building in Europe. You can also visit London’s Tate Modern, a museum with works of art by incredible painters such as Picasso, Mondrian, Monet and many others.

Then, to round off the day, visit St. Paul’s Cathedral, which dates back to the 17th century and is located on Ludgate Hill. It is enchanting for its history and beauty, and even houses the second largest dome in the world (surpassed only by St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican).

Third day in London

On this third day in the English city, head to the Kensington area, which is home to the most renowned museums, such as the Natural History Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum.

For those traveling with the family, it’s worth visiting the famous Harry Potter station, Platform 9 ¾, which is located at King’s Cross train station. Right next door, there’s a little shop selling merchandise from the movie.

In the evening, to round off your trip in the best English style, make sure you go to the heart of London’s nightlife: the West End, the area that concentrates all the famous theaters in the area. Catch a play there and have a memorable evening.
