Here’s a great 3 days in Orlando itinerary. With 72 hours of free time in the city, you’ll be able to see a lot of cool tourist attractions. So check out our tips and enjoy your stay there.
First day in Orlando
To begin this 2 days in Orlando itinerary, we think that your first day in the city should be reserved for the main tourist attraction there, The Walt Disney World. More precisely, the Magic Kingdom park, home to the famous Cinderella Castle.
So, remember to wake up as early as possible to make the most of your trip. In the park, you’ll find classic Disney characters such as Mickey, Minnie and Goofy on floats. And at night, there’s an enchanting fireworks display. So don’t forget to take lots of souvenir photos.
After visiting the park, if you’re still in the mood for a stroll, we have an excellent recommendation for you: Disney Springs.
There, you’ll find a place that simulates a mini city and has a variety of attractions, such as shows, restaurants and stores with Disney products. It’s the ideal place to eat and buy souvenirs after a day in the park.
- IMPORTANT: To help you plan your entire trip very cheaply, be sure to read our article on How to plan a trip to Orlando on a budget. Our tips will certainly help you a lot.
Second day in Orlando
To make the most of this 2 days in Orlando itinerary, our recommendation for the second day is to visit Universal Studios. This is one of the city’s most beloved parks, with elaborate and exciting rides about Universal’s films. That’s why it’s usually the favorite park for adults in Orlando.
Inside, there is an entire area dedicated to The Simpsons, with incredible simulators. As you walk around the park, you’ll see not only a Mummy-themed roller coaster, but also some great Harry Potter-themed attractions.
And again, the earlier you arrive, the more you can enjoy the park. That way, you can leave around 5 p.m. and start a new tour.
As well as Disney Springs, there’s Universal CityWalk. It’s a great place to eat and drink in bars, restaurants and even dance at nightclubs. In addition, the place has more options for young people and adults, making it the best option for a night out if you’re with friends.
However, if you’re with very young children and want a quieter outing, a great recommendation is to visit Epcot park, inside The Walt Disney World.
Third day in Orlando
On your last day in Orlando, it’s worth dedicating yourself to shopping. In Orlando, there are many places where you can buy everything, especially the outlets.
You can get up early, for example, and visit one of Orlando’s Premium outlets. One is on Orlando’s main avenue, International Drive, and the other is on Vineland. This way, you can choose which one is closer to your hotel and do a lot of shopping. With over 300 stores, you can find any product you want at the best price.
It takes a whole day to go through all the stores in the outlet, so you can take your time on your last day and have dinner somewhere special.
It’s impossible to get to know Orlando in just three days, so we’ve only suggested some of the best places. But you can adapt this itinerary according to your preferences.
You could visit the Magic Kingdom and Universal Studios on the first two days and go to Epcot on the third, instead of choosing between it and Universal. Another option is to visit just the two Universal parks on two days and go shopping on the third.
There are lots of must-see places in Orlando, so you won’t be short of good outings.
IMPORTANT: The city of Orlando has many theme parks and attractions spread across various regions of the city. To get to visit everything, the ideal is to use a rental car. If you want, see our article here with all the tips on how to rent a good car at the lowest price.
How to save money at parks and attractions?
First of all, the first tip is to look for tickets in advance, not to buy them on the spot. That way, you can calmly research the best prices that are within your budget. In addition, there are many ticket combos that are much better value.
At the Disney complex, the ideal is to buy a ticket for all 4 parks, which is cheaper than excluding any of them (plus you can have the full experience of seeing the whole place). Another way to save money is to buy tickets to visit the parks for more days. In the end, the cost of the ticket per day is cheaper if you buy more days to go.
At Universal parks, you can experience a 2-week visit with the 3 Park Explore Ticket, which also allows access to the Volcano Bay water park. However, the best-selling ticket is the 2-day Park to Park ticket, which allows you to visit both Universal parks (Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure).
And to enjoy the famous Busch Gardens rollercoaster park or SeaWorld Park, the best way is to buy the combo that includes the 2 parks along with Aquatica. The price of the combo is only 30 dollars more expensive than a single ticket for just one of the parks.
Where can I buy the tickets for the lowest price?
We always use this website that sells all the tickets and tours. There is everything there and the price is always the cheapest. The only ticket that isn’t sold there is the Disney ticket, which for the time being is the cheapest place to buy it. But for all the other parks like Legoland, Busch Gardens, Sea World and Universal Orlando, this is the best site.
They also have a really cool free tour of all the cities. And it’s where we book the transfer to take us from the airport to the hotel. It’s cheaper and safer than taxis and Uber.
Saving money on NBA and NFL games
For sports lovers, you can’t miss a trip to the NBA and NFL games. It’s a unique experience to be able to enjoy the best of basketball and American soccer in the USA. As I said before, it’s a great idea to check out the ticket offers with our coupon and enjoy the best of American culture.
Ticket prices vary depending on the location you choose to watch the match. We always use this website, which offers great prices for all sports matches. We always use it and have had great experiences, as well as saving a lot.
